I would never allow my GF to hang with her ex. And just a warning, some girls won't tell you that its an ex.
They will say he's just a friend, which can mean an ex or a person she used to hookup with. If my GF proposed that to me, the relationship is over. Most likely they already been in contact (or more) before she even brought it up.

You can tell her not too, but all that's going to do is make you seem like the controlling asshole boyfriend who's insecure and jealous. And she's going to do it anyways.

From your perspective, what reason does a girl need to hang with an ex? Whatever she can do with him, she can and should be doing with you.

Most likely they have already been in contact before even bringing this up. She will say it's just a friend. A friend for a woman could be a fuck buddy, ex, or just in general something she wants to fuck. I don't have a single girl who is a friend who I have not fucked or am not actively trying to fuck and we both know that is in the guys mind with this. This relationship is probably over for me if she brings this up.
