The experience of the busy mind is very normal. Someone once estimated that in any one thirty-minute session of meditation we may have upward of three hundred thoughts. Years of busy mind, years of creating and maintaining dramas, years of stresses and confusion, and the mind has no idea how to be still. Rather, it craves entertainment. It’s not as if you can suddenly turn it off when you meditate, it just means you are like everyone else.

10 minutes meditation calms me down. It makes me happier. The difference I am feeling is very obvious. I literally can talk better after I meditate. I think better.

Normally, even while writing I sometimes skip letters and even words. My mind is always racing. I have majority of symptoms of ADHD but I manage.

I always find meditation quite hard to do. My brain crave entertainment and stimulation. So I tend to avoid meditation. Ideally, I want to meditate 10 minutes every hour while working to clear my mind.

When does meditation get easier? Does it ever get easier?
