Ugh. I don’t know what I was thinking lurking into that sub. I thought I would inspire some of these people into embracing the freedom of the single life and try to improve them-selves. They ought to use that energy trying for some-ONE special and instead try for some-THING special. Leaving the dating game has made me so much more confident, secure, and happy. It was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I am free and the chains are broken. Instead, these people prefer to vent and try to make everyone around them feel sorry for them.

I don’t really see a good outcome for the people of r/foreveralone. In the midst of a tragedy, you will feel the need for others to listen. But then you need to let the smoke clear at some point and move forward with life. You can’t be dependent on someone else for your own happiness, and that’s the fatal flaw that that sub truly has. It’s a poisonous subreddit that will spread depression to people who don’t need it.
