The other day, I was at the mall, and this is usually where my best approaches happen. I started off with my icebreaker which is when I approach a woman who I have a very slim chance of succeeding with (I'm 17 so someone in their mid 20s usually). I proceeded with my actual approaches and...something wasn't there. I wasn't emitting the same energy as I usually do, and as a result, girls brushed me off.

I got hit with "Sorry, I really need to get somewhere right now" after just saying hi. I don't remember the last time I was brushed off like that after just my first statement, but yesterday it happened 2-3 times. The couple times I managed to get a girls attention and hold it, my mind drew blanks. I didn't know what to say. My best approach that day was a 23 year old on her smoke break. Held decent conversation. No number, but that's to be expected I suppose.

Now what's different is that I felt somewhat content with myself because I have a date set up with an HB7/8 in a few days and I was meeting a different girl later that day. I thought that already having girls on my table would make my approaches better because I'd have that "I don't care" mentality, but I think it might actually be hindering it. This was also right after finals, so maybe the stress rebound and sleep deprivation messed me up too?

What do you guys think?
