I was trying to work out best style a while back and I think I've decided on a fairly decent one. It's casual semi-formal.

It's dressy enough to be self-respecting in that it's not too casual and not too formal and suits most situations - and can be easily dressed down or up.

For me, it looks like this. This is the casual semi-formal:

light brown leather, dress shoes
beige or black chinos
brown leather belt
polo shirt
jersey (if cold)
dark brown, leather bomber jacket
black, thin rainjacket (if it's raining - can fit in jacket pocket)
ushanka (if cold)
scarf (if cold)

Dress it up more:

replace polo with dress shirt
replace jacket with an overcoat (I don't have one, but this would work)

Dress down:

replace dress shoes with casual pair
replace polo with a t-shirt

Things you should avoid, (they look scruffy in my opinion - fine to wear at home though, labouring jobs, sports, etc.. obviously use common sense). These are:

hoodies (avoid entirely)
beanies
track pants
boots (combat boots, etc..)
leather pants (hahahaha)
mankinis
shorts
sneakers
fedoras, top hats, monocles, pipes, pocket watches (yeah, just don't - I've seen some of these worn in public)

I'd suggest getting a really good jacket. Two if you can. Jackets are very important. Also avoid conflicting colours as it means you won't be able to change up your outfit easily. Black, brown, white, etc are good colours.

I don't think you can really do what you're wanting. Essentially, it sounds like you want to dress like someone that is respectable (which takes some expendable cash) and not appeal to women. These things seem mutually exclusive. Maybe poly-blend polos and khakis if that's acceptable for your job. You could go for maybe a middle-management type of look I guess.

Another option is trying to dress older than you are (if you're young). Going for 'dad style' could work. Idk for sure though.

I am a man that goes his way, i do not give a shit about how others view me. If am alright with the way i look before i live home, then it SHOULD be fine for others.

Idk where you live, but basically just wear the nicest version of things that are reasonably practical to your climate and job

I live in the Pacific Northwest, I wear a uniform at work. Outside of work, all of my clothes (except dress clothes) look as if I could go on a light hike and keep me warm/cool/dry/etc without being workout gear.

Do not wear workout gear unless you’re working out.

A basic guy’s wardrobe should include:

3 or 4 Plain coloured T shirts—white, grey, black, dark green etc

A pair of comfortable and darker wash jeans

A few collared shirts...a casual one and one for suits/formal unless you never do that kind of thing, add more casual ones as you like. I have a few plaid, denim, etc

Shorts if you like them...anything but jean shorts will do

Any workout gear you require—try not to wear your solid colour t shirts to the gym

Black/dark running shoes you can wear in the gym and around town with jeans if need be

Dress shoes- just buy good quality one time and you’ll never have to again. Get black first as it goes with everything, then branch out from there if you want.

Boots of some type. I wear chisel toe Blundstones because they’re waterproof and comfortable and warm without looking like work boots. If you live in a rural place, work boots would probably be fine.

Some type of light jacket. Because it always rains here, I have a good quality black rain jacket that looks good with everything but keeps me dry even on hikes. If it doesn’t rain much where you are and you’re not outdoorsy, a leather jacket is nice.

Depending on your weather, a winter coat. I find the most versatile to be a black pea coat because you can wear it with everything including a suit

Suit—this really depends on your lifestyle. I wear suits often for functions and funerals and I sometimes break the pants and jacket up to add more formality to my normal clothes, ie dark jeans, casual button up and a suit jacket. Start with black or charcoal grey, mid weight wool. Buy the best you can afford unless you are on a rapid weight loss plan, then wait till you’re at your goal. Thrift stores actually have great suits if you’re in a major city. Buy two ties, one colourful and one neutral like black or grey, for funerals.

Things you can add if you like them and can use them:

a watch. Don’t go crazy on price, any nice looking watch will be fine. Get a metal band, not leather.
hats, gloves etc for cold weather. Buy neutral dark colours
sweaters (again, solid colours) or sweatshirts, just buy ones with out logos

Things to avoid if you want to look presentable and are over about 30:

shirts with sayings on them
neon or light coloured sneakers
team/college apparel unless you’re actually at that game
any clothes that are ripped/stained/scuffed/cut off
“distressed” looking clothes or stuff from places with teenagers in the ads
super outdoorsy or technical looking watches, unless you use the technology

I dress like a janitor in worn clothes. Trying to achieve total incognicity(?) on the street. Durable is all I care about really.

I just wear whatever. Some days I feel like wearing a suit (or occasions), some days I'll go out in shorts, vans and a vneck. I don't look to impress anyone, it's just clothes. Just wear neutral colors.

I will agree with yes_no_username with his sentiments, his sentiment being you decide for yourself how to dress. Though you're here asking for advice, I wouldn't hold back on giving some to a fellow mgtow.

assessment of your life context and job. The only time you dress for success is if you looking for money, ie salesperson, your at a job interview, talking to your boss, etc. You have to understand, part of social interactions involves your appearance.
if your not there for any financial benefits, dress whatever feels most comfortable. My dress code: t-shirt and sweat pants 99% of the time. If it's cold, i wear a longsleeve. It's most simple for me because I'm my own boss, I work in construction, and most of my clients are men. Men don't really care what other men wear. It's mostly women who are judging you.
final point, your wording on "that shows self-respect" reads to me that your still cognizant of how people judge you. You haven't shaken off your basic instinct to be socially accepted. Which is very understandable. Besides that, you have to understand that in life, how very little people actually care about you. Not to say it in a mean spirited way. I care enough to write this comment to you. Most people are preoccupied with their own life, the only time someone will ever take notice your clothing is if that person needs to judge you on your financial/cultural situation. Ie, back to 1) context. If your having a friendly chat about something that does not involve any need to access your financial/cultural situation, most people would hardly notice what you're wearing (as long as it's not too outlandish).

Women will always be judging you on your clothing because they are always looking for a better man to monkey branch to. If your work requires you to wear formal clothing, then buy something that plain, clean, and comfortable. Don't have any brand/logo on it. And have multiple sets of the same clothing, like what steve job did. I find myself doing that too, it helps reduce how many decisions you have to make in a day, if your clothing is the same every day :).
