Longtime lurker here with a question.
I have seen the "Sandberg AF/BB strategy" discussed in TRP, but if I am not mistaken, noone has ever pointed out, explicitly, that the final sentence of that statement is quite simply not true.
The whole quote: “When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier.”
That ending line "These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier" is the hook that traps men. If a guy believes this and bites, his wife will have him harnessed and can USE him for provisioning for many years until he realizes that being considered "nothing sexier" by his wife is NEVER GOING TO FUCKING HAPPEN.
Sandberg needs to be pressed on this: Show us one example of a couple where they are "equal partners" and the guy is satisfied with how he is treated and is satisfied with their sex life.
On the other hand, we men can produce plenty of evidence that this statement is not true… guys who did the "equal partner" thing, and had their wife quite literally dry up and eventually turn on him completely.
So why not just call it what it is? A BIG LIE. The untruth that traps many men. Sandberg wants to be a leader of women so badly, let's give her the credit and call it the "SANDBERG BIG LIE"
As usual, my humble gratitude to TRP… I would be so fucking lost without you guys...
