I have one guy friend, and in a way I'm dependent on him. We are so close. He's my best friend. Easily. Brother almost.
I have acquaintances who I can drink with, party with. But only that one guy I can be vulnerable with, be completely myself with. I'd like to have more deeper connections.
I post because it just kind of hit me that I'm probably not a fun guy to be around. I saw a snap of someone I consider to be a pretty good friend, but he didn't invite me out. I don't expect to get invited to everything, but this was a low key kind of thing, and it did sting that he didn't bother to ask.
I'm pretty introverted, I probably come off poorly to others, and I tend to be very guarded in public. I've always known that, and while it's something I'd like to improve, I also feel like at the end of the day, I'm kind of doing it because I feel most relationships are built on the foundation of selfishness. But I'm probably just projecting.
What are your thoughts on building friendships with guys in the grand scheme of things? Money. Dreams. Women.
Not network connects. Someone you can talk for hours in a car and don't feel like you have to try to be anyone else. Maybe that's my issue, I am who I am, and so far I haven't found the right people... Or maybe I'm just an autistic creep
