Yeah. That's not how it works. I'll use my 20+ years of exsperiance - most of which were in the dish pit - to explain. I was also married to my manager for two years.

You have to file them as an employee per labor laws and insurance. That costs the company way more that $320. She's also a liability as she has not been properly trained on the equipment or environment. (Not to mention she has no interest in the job or its duties. That can literally result in serious bodily injury.) If she gets hurt she can sue for quite a bit. Also, why you would send your professional home to be replaced by some rando that's going to slow the whole operation. If your dish machine operator is slow the whole damn house falls apart.

This has never happened in modern times. It's pure myth.
