The issue is, it’s really hard to tell if a kid is telling the truth or lying, and since it’s about something that serious, you have to figure out if it’s true. This person might not have been thinking straight, probably seriously hurt thinking the one she loved cheated on her (women can be even more mentally askew than men, due to not having to hide their emotions their whole life). She probably acted irrationally, being in an unstable mental condition and having a choice between trusting the woman she married and knew for however long and the child she raised and knew for the child’s entire life. She probably suffocated herself in a metaphorical box thinking those were her only two choices. She’s probably incredibly hurt and in an intense amount of pain and regret. By societal standards, these two parents are failing, not because of the “lack of trust” (that probably didn’t exist, she merely believed the child that housed innocence, innocence that was so innocent it turned bad), but because they are now acting the child. The man is failing to understand the simple concept that the woman went through, and he is so hurt he distracts himself from thinking it through. He also probably hides his emotions as best he can (it’s something the majority of men end up having to do), leaving the woman with no understanding of what his issue is. While the women is hurt and stuck believing that she made a grave mistake and perhaps even thinking that they were not meant to be (as far as I’ve seen, women have a higher amount of trust towards children, as children typically have a higher amount of trust towards them, motherly instinct and such. You are probably emotionally closer to your mother than father). This woman might also be hurting and lost due to the misguided trust she laid in her innocent child. She might be looking at what the child did in the context of the adult world and not her child’s world. All in all, this whole event is just a whole bunch of misguided thoughts and inability to truly think through things. Ironically, the whole trio seem to truly have a deep love and connection to each other, but the innocence of their child grabbed all of those bonds and strangled them with it (again, that child most likely had no true idea what she had been doing, she was also probably misguided by her emotions and lacked knowledge of how hurt she would be in the future. There is nothing more painful than having to watch your parents divorce and leave each other, incapable of doing anything about it. My parents got divorced when I was the same age as her, it was slow and it ripped a hole in my heart that I felt every time I thought about them). It’s just a horrible event, everything involved being things viewed as good to some extent. It’s rather sad and it hits me personally, this post was made to try and point out how the woman was stupid or something, when ironically, she was a great mother and a caring with who carried an innocence of innocence. She ended up hurt, torn in two, confused, and worse. She didn’t know what was happening, while the other two did, but they themselves were too caught up in their own emotions to understand or think it through. I This whole thing is fucked up, I hope they sought a competent marriage counselor.
