The best argument I've heard, is that the baby cannot consent to this, and even with respect to such 'health benefits' as a possibly reduced incidence of penile cancer, these 'benefits' will not accrue until later in adult life. Therefore, it is unnecessary to do in infancy. Let the man grow up, and when he is an adult, he can decide for himself. By doing it in infancy, you take away his ability to consent.

Addenum: The fact that feminists talk about this and say 'it's not the same for men' means that they do not think consent for men is relevant.

What benefits? They haven't proven any benefits of circumcision yet. The lower rate of urinary track infection is wrong, since the penile opening is exposed all of the time and circumcised men have to use lube. The lube gets inside the urethra and wallah a urinary tract infection. Lower rates of Hiv? This has also been proven false, as the receptors in the foreskin actually resist hiv infection. A better way than circumcision to lower hiv rates would be to empower these special receptors making the penis immune to hiv. Circumcision doesn't even reduce hiv rates anyway. If you have sex with a dry penis, then you're more likely to get tears or little micro cuts due to the inflexible scar tissue. I'll ask you again, name a PROVEN benefit of circumcision. I'll wait...

The disadvantages of circumcision are: Possible botched circumcision, a harder time masturbating, no glide function, you now need to buy lotion and lube to masturbate and have sex, your penis is smaller than an uncircumcised penis both bulk and length which may lead to locker room anxiety, lower sensitivity, lack of normal nervous system functioning due to severed nerves that never heal, buried penis, too much shaft skin removed causing scrotal and pubic skin to be pulled onto the shaft, hairy penis, and permanent emotional damage to areas of the brain that express emotions and deal with reasoning. I mean... holy fuck is circumcision one-sided or what? The benefits get eclipsed by the risks.

One of the common points Ive made in arguing against male circumcision especially to infants is by telling women what is removed in the process. It really hits home when I compare circumcision on male babies to the equivalent of removing a women's clitoris. Yes many women flinch at the thought after I say that.

There are no benefits to circumcision of either gender. No medical evidence at all. There IS evidence, however, people of no circumcision have healthier sex lives, self esteem, etc.
