Where did you get that percentage? Given any location that percentage may increase or decrease.
Women tend to choose softer, safer, less paying jobs than men.
Therapy in all forms is a soft job. It's part of Medicine and important but a soft career nonetheless.
Men who pursue medicine tend to be doctors, surgeons, EMTs, and other trauma based medicine. Women are the ones who dominate Nursing.
Fact: Men and women don't think the same. No two people have the same education and experience. If you had a male and female therapist with similar education their outcome of your treatment would not be the same.
In hands-on medicine we use the same methods and info to treat but sex is a major factor in how we treat people.
Therapy is different. Men and women think and act differently. Our major hormones are in contrast. Men have high testosterone and low estrogen while women have high estrogen and low testosterone. These hormones affect how each sex thinks and acts.
Depression for example will affect all on some level the same but overall can be different.
