Hi all, so let me run you by this situation I find myself in.
I have split up with my long term (ish) girlfriend of 4 years just about a week ago.
Before that there is a girl at work (HB8) - Shes a nice girl, bit younger than me (shes 19, I'm 24). Went out with work a few weeks back and found us getting on like a house on fire - Vibing really well, great kino, all the signals were there, however, at this point I was still in my relationship - Didn't pursue it and just expressed some interest.
The next day after said night out she messages me first thing on facebook talking about the night before. We trade numbers and snapchat etc.
We talk for a few weeks over text (shes in a relationship, so am I at this point) but the texts are flirty, telling me she wants to touch me etc - snapchatting me before she gets in the shower and things like that - Great, we're getting on well and I break up with my GF - just to clarify, I did not break up with her to get with this girl, she's merely there at the time when I break up.
Fast forward to friday night, she's texting me prior to going out what she's wearing, that she's gonna make me blush and that we could get a hotel room after the night out. I'm pretty chilled with the idea, its my first night out being single in 4 years so I just want to enjoy myself - if that means getting with her or whatever then great, if not, I'll just have a good time, I'm not desperate.
Into the night I have bought 1 round of drinks for myself and some good friends, she also gets a drink as she's in on the rounds. There's another guy there, lets call him "X", this man is married with a kid and he is putting one hell of a shift in on this girl.
To the extent that he ends up spending around 6/7 hours with her in the night.
I am at the club when a colleague comes up to me and warns me to stay away from said girl - I'm confused as I have hardly spoken to her all night and only bought her a drink because she was in the round at that time.
So I ask this colleague what she is talking about - Colleague tells me that said girl has been telling people that i'm trying to get with her as a rebound from my ex and that I've been all over her for the night!? I'm confused at this point because like I said I have spent no time with her? I go back into the club and "x" is eating the girls face off for a solid 25-30 minutes - to the point where its a bit embarrassing and work colleagues are looking over like "WTF?".
So I get the train home - she is supposed to be getting the same train as me but misses it to stay with "x". She texts me on the train asking to meet up but I've already left, can't go back into town now as it's the last train.
I call my friend who is still out and say that the girl has missed her train home and asked him to put her in a cab if she is stuck for somewhere to go - My friend informs me that she is still with x and not looking to meet up with me at all.
So I ignore her text, go home and sleep off the booze. The next day the girl texts me asking if I got home ok - I don't reply because I can see this just being drama and after she talks shit about me to other people saying I want her as a rebound and that I've been trying to get on her all night I'm really not that fussed on her anymore.
She has just sent me a snapchat, however, I have not replied nor opened it as this girl looks to be insane?!
Is this the right way to play the situation?
I'm not bothered that she got with someone else because she is a bit loose and anyone that pays her a bit of attention could get her (making her, in my opinion, low value and not what I'm interested in).
On top of this, I have a good job at work, I don't want to get involved with drama from a night out with colleagues or anything like that. I know people were taking pictures and videos of x getting with the girl that I'm fairly certain will be leaked to "x's" wife and to the girls bf as well.
My career is important and I think the term "don't shit where you eat" comes into play here - I am 99% sure this is just a drama fuck fest that I want no part of and the best course of action is to ignore her texts and snapchats.
I will see her this week in the office where I will be polite - If she asks why I am not replying I will simply say that I am aware of what she has said to other people about me and that I don't want any part of this drama.
Thoughts on the situation, apologies for essay
