Fully justified. If those women were willing to go that far on a dime to force a man to take a fake bill, who knows how far they'd be willing to go with a bunch of lethal improv weapons when they reach the kitchen? They've already shown they're willing to get violent when called out.

The man- who served time- knows the best way to survive is to ensure your attackers will never attack you again. I'm glad he got off scot free
