I have encountered several hundred sex scams with online dating and when talking to a female friend about it, found out that women do not encounter nearly as many sex scam profiles while dating online.

Personally, it has been a problem for me in the past to “match” with the accounts that lie and ask for money. When I have never engaged in that behavior before, it’s a waste of my time that could be spent dating a real woman online. To find out that these scammers are targeting men is depressingly sexist and and feels like I’m being targeted on a personal basis.

I don’t like it and it is harder now for me to trust users on dating sites while women have no problem at all.

I’m emotionally damaged and I don’t ever appreciate being treated this way. It is unfair and degrading. I’m heartbroken that these scammers discriminate based on biology and make money off of it. Truly disgusting to think about and it doesn’t do any good to do it that way.

I use online dating for a large part of my dating life because I work a lot and I’m home otherwise. These app companies have done very little to stand against these scammers and combat fake profiles and identity fraud. Perhaps they should begin by monitoring female profiles more closely.
