Seriously, do people not think of what a life changing claim this is, even if its proven false

I wouldn't think so, with all the publicity this story has had. I'd print the crap off on business cards, and hand them out whenever people stared. I would completely dump all social media accounts for a while. I don't think its fair and I don't think it's "making the victims whole", even with prison time for her.

In most cases the accuser simply doesn't care, it's a ploy to get attention or to shift blame on to someone else (even if just in her own mind). In some cases the lifelong damage the accusation does to the real victim is the goal.
