In today’s age, you are guilty until proven innocent. People will label you a monster before even knowing your name. In the end, Sexual assault allegations are just allegations, and I believe in due process. Once a person is convicted of a crime, then I’ll judge them and trash them for being a trash person. But I’m sick of male celebrities getting their lives ruined before an allegation even goes to court. So until we get innocent until proven guilty again, I will no longer give a shit about sexual assault allegations. Give me proof, and I’ll gladly hate on the person. Allegations are alleged acts that haven’t been legally proved yet. An alleged murder and an alleged burglary are treated the same. Cancel culture believes in forgoing due process and ruining people’s lives on unproven allegations and I’m sick of it. I am DEFINITELY NOT saying that Sexual Assault is good, it is terrible, but we can’t judge a person on an unproven accusation. I still believe in due process. I’d rather take more time to look at a case closely, than to prematurely ruin a mans life when there’s a chance he has done nothing wrong.
