Drag Race Canada. Season 1 episode 6.

One contestant describes a female audience member sexually assaulting him in the workplace - sticking her finger up his butt.

It's not framed as sexual assault. Or sexual harassment, which it is since this is a workplace. Just something a bit naughty.

Another contestant describes taking a guy home from one night and being assaulted after he refuses to put out. Legally that's just assault rather than sexual assault - which is still bad obviously - but the show frames it as sexual assault.

Commentators did what we'd expect.

Naturally the girls started swapping horror stories about overly touchy bachelorette parties and gay men during their performances at the bars, but nothing was as horrifying as BOA’s story of sexual assault that left her blacked out and bloody on the floor.

Lie.

Bachelorette party horror stories sure, but "overly touchy" as a descriptor of anal penetration is hardly accurate. Flip the genders. Anyone describing anal or vaginal penetration of a woman by a man as merely "overly touchy" would be quite deservedly roasted for it.

Also no horror stories were exchanged about gay men during performances. Only female attendees. A single contestant quipped in about men being worse in their experience but, we didn't hear any stories in relation to that.

And the tale about the revenge bashing wasn't at a performance. It was a guy one of them had taken home with him.
