I’m just going to preface this by saying I agree with most of the posts on this sub, but in my opinion your rant goes a bit too far. You accuse the actual subreddit (instead of just the post) of a lot of things that just genuinely aren’t true.

The most obviously blatant one of these is saying that the orgy from IT has never been on the sub. It’s actually been posted there more times than I can count, several times getting heavily upvoted.

Also Stephen King in general literally makes up like a third of the subreddit. Last time I went on there every 3 or 4 posts would be a screenshot from a Stephen King book. That’s been discussed to hell and back on that sub.

Last time I went there most of the posts were definitely justified as well. I distinctly remember some unbelievably cringe and disgusting descriptions of body parts in literarily the most random of places. Like “she walked down the stairs, feeling her butt cheeks clench”.

Also, I’m pretty sure there’s actually a similar subreddit for women writing men (maybe r/womenwritingmen?) so it’s not one sided. Now, granted, all of this could have changed since the last time I went on the sub, but I think that’s kinda unlikely.

what they don't understand is that there is also women who writes their female character in that fashion. that's not sexism, it's just... how you write. and you're right, it's not even really the author's opinion, it's how one of the character perceive the other. and if this is the scene I think it is, Mikael just discovered that his whole life had been intruded by someone, and is obviously upset about it. it is therefore normal to use pejorative (or, at least, not meliorative) language to describe Lisbeth, who's the one who did it.
