Well, humans are not polar bears, that's why patriarchy should not exist because it fucks up men an women's lives. And maybe, if these bears had their natural habitat with no human contact and a vast natueal space, the male would have not killed her.

Actually, rape and killing females for a sex refuse, is plainly a human thing, in nature animals rape but they are not really aware that they are hurting the other one. My theory is that this bear turned a bit mad after being caged in an artificial environement. Because for reproduction matters, males don't kill females, they try seducing them. Males don't even kill other males in a combat, one of them just abandons and gets submissive.
