So I started dating this girl, I'll call her X for privacy, back in June of 2017, her and I had just finished doing exams (GCSE'S, exams taken by 16 year olds as a basic standard of education in the UK) the relationship lasted until December.

I remember touching X on a few occasions in certain private areas, and she wouldn't mind that I did, and we spent time good time together. I remember asking her if she wanted to have sex halfway through, she thought about it for a bit and then declined, which I could understand. Come the day after my birthday in November, I invited her round, started making love on my bed and found ourselves naked. I asked X if I could, at first she was doubting it, to which I asked 'please' in a nice tone. She then agreed, and I started penetrating her, she had to assist me, embarrassingly. She moaned every so often. This might've been a misconception, but I believed she tried to get on top of me to make it easier. So it didnt last that long, but we watched a movie after whereby we continued kissing and i was touching her down there while we watched.

I remember apologising for not being great, but X said dw about it, and we were still happy with each other, though a month later I stopped talking like we usually did and she broke up with me over the phone, at this time I was love sick for another girl in my Sixth Form (High School 16-18). Fast foward to may 2019 in response to a message from my friend enquiring about it, I texted her saying "I'm sorry if I miss treated you in any way" to which she responded "You mean when you raped me?". Completely devastated I wanted to end it all, I'm still here thankfully. X called an ambulance for me when she thought I was about to kill myself. I've never revealed why I nearly killed myself to many people, including my parents.

I'm worried about my future, shes hasn't pressed charges, but in the UK cases for rape dont apply under the Statutes of Limitations. X could suddenly end my career and I'll end up like Weinstein.

Legal advice would be greatly appreciated.
