Of course there is a lot of women who like dark humor as well, but for the most part I think it's a way for men to cope with their fears and the harsh realities of life because traditionally men are expected to be protectors and do the dangerous and dirty jobs in our society while remaining stoic and not showing any fear.

Your post was removed due to rule 14, titles must be descriptive.
Titles must describe the content so that:
Users know what the link they are clicking on content before they click it
Users who are searching for specific material can easily find the post they are looking for
Take the time to describe your link, and save the time of hundreds of other people.
When making a title, it's best to assume the reader doesn't know what you're talking about - but don't go overboard with every detail. Then check if there are any words you can cut out without losing any important information.
It's a good idea to pause for a few moments before hitting the "Post" button. Check for typos, ambiguous phrasing, redundant words - and of course for unintended meanings!

No, left wing hates dark humor because it's not politically correct and not because it's a venting method for men.

Not an MRA, just visiting
But historically, your interpretation is demonstrably incorrect. Dark humour / Black comedy is a way for people to explore taboo and morbid subjects of society through humour and its literally everywhere, at all times, and it's not being demonized as a genre at all. Literally no genre of comedy is even remotely under attack.
George Carlin was arrested for his Blue Comedy set the seven words you can't say on television in the 70s. That is an attack.
There is bizarre expectation among people that just the act of being comedy is what makes somethings immune to criticism or rejection. You will always have a segment of a population who see something blue or black and object with a gasp. However in actuality, subversive black humour is the least likely thing to get you vilified.
The joke most likely to get you vilified is un-subversive black humour, because you have removed the irony which was what was allowing you to approach these subjects without presenting with malice or lack of self-awareness.
"I woke up in the night and I saw my T.V floating and I shouted drop it N-"
This delivered straight without subversion or irony is boomer tier humour, and is most often what most people mean by their "edgy humour" or what they actually mean by "edgy humour" is humour without narrative irony. Narrative irony is irony known to the audience, but not inherently present in the narrative.
In comedy narrative irony can be anything from putting on a mocking tone of voice, to the content of previous jokes, to what race the performer is, to where they are from, their gender, weight, what city they are in, basically anything outside the narrative of the joke which demonstrates a subversion of expectation.
Without that narrative irony these kinds of jokes played this way have another name... earnest insults. Dark humour inherently covers topics covered in malice, and if you remove the context of irony... you are just left with that malice again.
You can laugh at insults, but unless you are really fucking good at your job, they are still earnest insults and you likely insulting real living people who can respond in kind.
If you are telling a "dark joke" and it has no narrative irony or subversion to it, you are just saying insulting shit you think is funny for like minded friends to laugh at and now the question is much easier to answer "Why are people mad at me for
dark humourinsulting them and laughing about it, it's just a joke!."[+]user94601 points [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link
Taking a stab that you have absolutely no idea what comedy is.

Its clear I understand it more than this entire subreddit.
Sorry the truth hurts, your entire world view is basically built in lies.
