This is gross misdirection. There are several schemes that have been given to all ; including free food and ration, a 2000rs per person per month money grant, the construction workers fund, etc. On top of all that, this additional 500 per month is given to women because like it or not, women in rural India are severely oppressed. This stupidity takes away the credibility of this subreddit. And remember, this is about the poorest of the poor.
