Hey guys,

Today I wanna share a video of a politician here in Brazil that fights for men's rights and against feminism. She is part of the legislative power in the state of Santa Catarina and has published a whole book debunking feminism (which is a masterpiece, btw).

The video is an ordinary speech delivered during one of their sessions.

Here's a loose translation of its main points:

"Every time someone talks about domestic violence, the debate deliberately assumes a single-sided approach led by the feminist movement, so only women's problems are discussed - a strategy aimed at demonizing men and masculinity itself."

"Our problem is violence in general against people, not against women or men".

Then some facts:

- Out of 59,080 murders that were committed in Brazil in 2017, 4,621 had female victims against 54,459 with male victims (a 1/13 ratio).

- A specific report of cases of investigation concerning violence against children shows 89,576 women under investigation against 96,855 men (a near 1/1 ratio).

- A research conducted on teenager jealousy-related aggressions showed that 28.5% of the girls considered perpetrated some kind of violence during their relationships, against 16.8% of the boys.

- In the UK, about 40% of the victims of domestic violence were men, in the yearly counts of 2004-05/2008-09.

- In the USA, nearly half of the men (48.8% or approximately 55.2 million) have already suffered some sort of psychological violence at least once in their lives.

She then proceeds to show a bunch of news headlines about cases we all know of: violent murders, false rape accusations that end up in nothing, etc.

"When violence against men is mentioned, we have basically two reactions: indifference or mockery."

She then shows the social experiment video where two actors pretend they're a couple fighting, taking turns in their roles as aggressors. As you can imagine, the male aggressor is quickly stopped by the passers-by while the woman only got them to giggle and watch the "amusing scene".
