I feel the same thing. I fucking despise my ex for having so much control over me but I absolutely adore my wife who is my companion and true ally. It sucks that women can be your best friend or your worst nightmare.

Sexual urges won't help you either. I sometimes make the worst decisions when I'm horny and that's just scary. It's like my body just shuts down all rational thinking to chase 20 seconds of ecstasy.

Love is the worst though, I still love my first after 15 years even though it only lasted 4 months. WTF brain?!
