Only thing I have is Facebook and Reddit. The only reason I have FB is cause its the only way I can keep in touch with some people. I don't post on it though. I'll share a funny pic or news article but that's it. Nothing personal.

I have social media but even back when I was a teenager I was still very Libertarian and paranoid about social media and of course that was when Edward Snowden came along and confirmed we were all being spied on through PRISM and there was a big data farming operation going on over social media.

So not only do I have to worry about about governments trying to snoop on my private information and private companies trying to sell and buy my private information I post there but now I have to expect that any girl wants access to my entire life posted online so she can look it up and do what exactly?

No, not only is this really creepy on part of the girl the fact that there are people defending this is equally dumb, I'm glad to see though there are people calling this shit out for what it is and it's just internet stalking.

To understand where I'm coming from there's this youtuber called Louis Rossman who does videos and the like and runs a repair shop business and he did this great video explaining how he handles his social life. He has one phone for private, personal use and one for business calls and he went into detail about how every person who tried to call him up on his business phone always tried pretending to be his friend and waste his time so he keeps his real friends and people he knows privately on his private phone.

I found the video, it's long but it's very good but this is what I talk about when I mention how people should socially cull people like this from their life. No one is entitled to your private life. I maintain a network of people I've met RL over WhatsApp and things like that of people who I've actually had fun talking to and I still chat to even now and of course there's discord and so on. I think this exact same attitude should be applied to dating, do not let these types of people fuck with your life and be ruthless in culling them from your social circle.

As for the issue of social media and whether or not you 'need' an account, fuck no, if anything, it's not that men need t o create social media accounts it's that women seriously need to stop oversharing.
