A modern version of the roman term spoken of here, that I'd heard for years.

Some month's ago I read an article that Ancestry.com was pushing genealogy kits as a great gift for dad for father's day. It turned out a lot of those dads found out they had nothing to celebrate.

My mother has been very in genealogy, tracing our lineage back to 800AD. When I pointed out that in the 50+ average generations there has to be infidelity. And that is just direct back to that one couple they found information on. On top of the spreading branches there must be dozens and dozens of kids that were related to the father and the branches before them are incorrect.
