I'm Echo, a graduate student at NYU. I’m currently doing a year long thesis project about the implication of feminism concept in lingerie industry, especially in terms of the branding and marketing.

I find it really interesting that lingerie brands, such as Inamorata by Emily Ratajkowski, La Perla, Fleur du Mar, tends to make a statement about their feminism standpoint. In order to prove the point that they're feminism, some brands usually use non-conventional models (diverse in size, color and age) but that's about it.

What do you guys think about this trendy feminism (I did some research online, and people call it marketplace feminism)? I mean clearly brands want to make money, but does using feminism to make money do anything good to feminism itself?

Please let me know and thanks :)
