It is near absolute. We shouldn't be finding new ways to limit speech just because we want an excuse to punish this garbage human.

The two major things that bother me about this ruling.

The judges are literally saying that this girl overpowered Conrad's will by texting/calling him. That she is more at fault for his death than he is. According to the judges, she is more at fault than the person who went online to find ways to kill himself. She is more at fault than the person who acquired a generator then ran the generator in an enclosed space until the poisonous gas killed him.
She would have committed no crime had Conrad NOT killed himself. Essentially, you can tell someone to kill themselves, that's fine. But if they go through with it, that's when it becomes your fault somehow.

People often cite the texts between the two of them as damning evidence but the reality of the situation is that Conrad wanted to kill himself. He had a "eureka!" moment when he found out about carbon monoxide poisoning. As hard as it is to hear, he wanted to kill himself. She was definitely the final straw but the dead guy in the car a hundred miles away from her was not a situation created solely by her, or even mostly by her.
