Hey just wanna give my story about the time I was falsely accused of sexual assault as some sort of "expose all the men in the city" ploy. So it went like this,

One day an instagram account popped up, it was taking anonymous submissions from women (or anyone with a fake account) about men that are assaulters. So the page would post and tag a dude along with a story. The posts varied between stories about men drugging women, taking advantage while drunk, full on rape, and overall creepy and predatory behaviour. The page definitely had real assaulters posted on it because some of the stories were so vivid and certain men had received multiple posts with different detailed stories. Fair enough but when it came to me and a few other men, it was a single, poorly typed submission with bad grammar and spelling. That's what stood out about the fake ones, not to mention all the fake ones had ludicrous stories that made you say "what?!" by the end.

Not everyone was stupid enough to believe everything they read on the internet but see, let's say I have a 30 pack of "bad orbs" then take 3-4 "good orbs" and put it in the PACK of bad orbs, what do I have? You guessed it, a pack of bad orbs, so you can imagine how it looked to people who can't think for themselves. I wasn't worried about the women I had spent time with that year cause they know how I was with them(always delicate and accommodating), it was the women and thousands of other people that didn't know me and could instantly jump to conclusions.Â

I had no idea who would do this to me, I always stayed outta the way, sure my friends were popular, but I just had no clue why I would be targeted by a fabricated story. It wasn't even like I could attempt to make amends cause it was anonymous and the story was made up from scratch. I was damn near praying that i could be sued by this fictional woman just so I can prove my innocence, but of course that's impossible cause she doesn't exist nor have I ever assaulted someone ffs. The page had amassed thousands of followers, everybody was talking about it, it was pure defamation but nothing could be done other than to let the audience figure it out themselves. I only got one post and the page eventually started losing attention so the owner got bored.

After and during that time I was experiencing extreme social anxiety. Had trouble going certain places unless I was hoodied up and was very weary of women, it's crazy cause there were a few women that slid in my dm's because of it but I just found it inappropriate and sus. I got over all that eventually by realizing if anyone is stupid enough to believe a page based on anonymous submissions that make up facts about people like some sort of wikipedia edit feature, then those are the type of people I want nowhere near me anyway. This is probably nothing compared to some of the bigger and more famous false accusations, couldn't even imagine what those men are going through.

Update: I typed this a few days ago finally got to post it here cause it wasn't allowed in /askmen, so I went to a party last with a lot of familiar female faces that I haven't seen in a long time since I was accused. They all took it me well, it was great one of them even called me a gentlemen then I hooked up with her friend. Great night
