Young people don't realize that marital rape laws didn't always exist and aren't even very old.

The thought today that a woman has no obligation to have sex with her husband is ridiculous on its face. It's called "conjugal duty" for a reason. But the point is, that to say that duty doesn't exist, is to say that a woman saying the following is okay:

"After you marry me, I won't have sex with you. But you must be faithful to me and not have sex with anyone else."

The only way for a man to agree with marital rape laws with any integrity, is for him to also say that men should still marry women who say that before they marry them. Of course, you don't find this out until after you marry them.

Marriage was not invented by God for "love". It was always about "be fruitful and multiply". You can't do that in a sexless marriage, which is what feminism brought us.

And as for "real feminism", that's always been about the destruction of the nuclear family, period.

I appreciate your point. We must remember also though that marriage is a legal contract that also includes sex. That's why it's called the "conjugal duty" and sex is considered a "conjugal right" ("the sexual rights and privileges conferred on spouses by the marriage bond").

Sex in marriage is much more than "something to relax". It's a right. That's why "marital rape" laws are wrong. They contradict the whole point of marriage. Remember, the idea was for her to be a virgin before marriage. Now think about it. :-)

Marriage "for love" as a wide practice is new and is a foolish thing to base it on. Look around. Women run on emotions and 75%-80% of divorces are initiated by women. Why? Mostly because they're "just not feelin' it anymore". It's not "fun" anymore.

Historically, marriage is about the continuation of a people in the proper way that breeds men to be men and women to be women. I.e., a patriarchy built on the nuclear family.

The last generation to have that here was just before 2nd Wave Feminism. The "Greatest Generation". A patriarchy built on the nuclear family. Now look.

Take away the tech and the big city and you will always end up with a patriarchy, to survive. Remove the nuclear family and you end up with children raised by single mothers (mama's boys and sluts). Look around today. :-)
