Crosspost "A man/woman shouldn't face criticism if (s)he decides to not stay alone with the opposite gender" from /r/unpopularopinion:
I'm focusing on men here because no one would believe our words alone.
I can't remember the full story but someone running for office said he wouldn't grant a female reporter an interview if there isn't a male colleague present and people are bashing him??
On which Earth do you people live in? False sexual accusation are women's way of getting back to men and now it's wrong for men to take precaution?
Incase you didn't know, falsely accusing a man of rape can totally destroy his career without a chance of making a comeback even though his name has been cleared.
Women on the other hand, get less sentence or no sentence for falsely accusing a man of sexual assault. Highest I've heard of is 3 months in prison.
Women should get the same sentence for an actual sexual assault case if they make a false accusation.
This was more of a rant than unpopular opinion but personally, if I'm gonna meet closed doors with a woman, be it strictly platonic or adult stuff, I'll make sure there are cameras and a form both she and I will sign.
Can't deal with it? Bye
