As I always say when this topic comes up, ALL social roles have positives and negatives, and those positives and negatives are intertwined. You can't have one without risking the other. You can't teach boys to be confident without seeing bravado. You can't teach them to be self sacrificing without seeing risk taking behaviour. Femininity has this very same problem and to the same degree. As long as society seems stuck on only improving the socialization of one half of the popoulation, and they are going to ignore the clear issues in the other half, it's sexist at its core.

As a bit of an aside, hasn't current year feminism also enabled the rise of a kind of female equivalent to machismo?

If feminist are accusing men of something, it is something they are doing themselves.

It's like addressing a racist trope like "Jews run all the banks" by saying, oh but Jews do run a lot of banks don't they? Way to miss the point.
