In all of this heated debate of abortion laws and sex crimes... The little, everyday rights that men don't have are overlooked.

The other day I saw a dad with his infant daughter in this nice little family restaurant. He approached a server to ask him if their restaurant had changing tables and he was informed that they did, but only in the women's restroom. He looks down at his tiny daughter held in his arms, sitting in her soiled pamper, adjusts his diaper bag and starts heading back.

The server stops him and questions him if he's going to go in the women's restroom and strongly suggests to the man that he maybe find another mother in the restaurant who might be able/willing to change his daughter for him before going back to his work. The dad ignores him and, I presume, goes and changes his daughter in the women's restroom.

So, nothing really jarring happened, but it got me thinking "Holy shit. In what other ways are men who choose to care for their own children in public impeded from doing so?!" He was just trying to change a dirty diaper and another man suggested he hand his baby over to a stranger, interrupting some other families meal to ask some random women to change a diaper, rather than risk making a woman in a stall temporarily uncomfortable.
