One year ago today, Ontario had a general election and turfed the unpopular Premier Kathleen Wynne. In her place, we elected the controversial Doug Ford, the leader of the opposition Ontario PC Party. (I'm not here to debate the pros and cons of Doug Ford. I have a mixed opinion of him).

However, he was not meant to be PC leader, and therefore the candiate for Premier. Rather, he won in a last minute election. The leader untill Jan 2017 was Patrick Brown - somone universally more popular than Ford. However, he was destroyed by 2 compeltely false accusations.

So it is not just how it impacts me. Allowing false accusations to reek terror on men also impacts society as a whole. All those protesting Doug Ford's decisions, should be aware that those decisions wouldn't have been enacted had we not allowed false accusations to run rampant. The fate of your country can literally depend on it.
