And that's a low estimate of DV against men, it also doesn't account for reciprocal vs non-reciprocal violence, difference in violence levels between heterosexual, gay or lesbian couples, etc...

These studies are tricky for several reasons. If they go simply by police stats, it'll always be absurdly skewed toward women as DV against men is either not reported or men don't report it for obvious reasons. If they simply survey X amount of men & women, it'll again always be lower for men for fear of ridicule or because they've been brainwashed since birth to believe it's not abuse if a woman hits them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the actual numbers are more equal and the real reason there seems to be less men is because plenty of men don't realize they are experiencing DV or aren't reporting it

Wow. And yet we have officials stating that family violence is a 'gendered' issue. Implying that it's all men against women because men feel superior.

The problem with that, although it shows male victims as well, is that it also shows the false accusations of DV as well. I bet it's closer to 50/50.

If gender has no violence why do I see more women in these statistics
