So an all female panel was tasked in Australia to select the next head of the ABC. And they shortlisted men. What amazes me more than the inevitable outcome (hint, sperm production didn't improve one's likelihood to get the plumb job) is that the female board could actually put the ideology of the 'sisterhood' in reserve and select candidates on merit rather than gender.

But then of course, the Australian media was up in arms about the 'sexist' idea that having a shortlist entirely of men (the reverse is fine, remember that asshole men). Then the Australian Prime Minister, thinking being a kiss-up and yes-man would save his political hide (it won't, good bye Liberal party 2019, hello Labor and a GDP recession), did what the media asked. He chose the RIGHT WOMAN FOR THE JOB. Ida Buttrose, a Sydney elite who spent her early career in women's mags telling young Australian women in the 1970s and 1980s to stop being nice, decent, boyfriend-and-husband loving family women, and start slutting around more and swapping partners.

Well, everyone's happy. The generation of women that was taught to slut around, the Australian media, the Labor party, the Liberal party (as if it will do them any good), Ida herself, who couldn't celebrate?

Oh yeah, people with testicles who want to pursue their career to its highest levels, and those with boyfriends, husbands and sons who love and don't hate them. But hey, they'll keep their mouths shut, so the WALTZ WILL CONTINUE.
