So as we know, men have a physical power advantage over women. And as Americans know, we have many restrictions on violent conduct: rape, simple assault, aggravated assault, robbery, murder, and many other types of violent conduct are illegal.

Women's advantage over men is the ability to lie and manipulate men. While there are men who can do this to women (just like a woman with a weapon can overpower an unarmed man), this is their go-to power over men. They learn to control men from a young age because of their absence of physical power. What's interesting is that this isn't a crime at all; lying to your boyfriend about loving him so that he marries you, then divorcing and splitting assets? Totally legal. Slander and libel, which fall under the umbrella of defamation, aren't crimes at all. They are simply bases for a tort claim (i.e. a civil trial, not a criminal trial).

So modern society ultimately restricts men in their natural advantages, but barely restricts women in theirs. Isn't that interesting?
