This is a long story, so buckle up

I’m gonna start off by saying that I am in no way innocent in all of this. I made a stupid mistake and I’ve regretted it ever since. I said something stupid and acted like a piece of shit and I definitely deserved some of what I got, but this bitch blew it way out of proportion and it didn’t benefit anybody.

Just under a year ago, it was my junior year of high school, right after prom. My prom date (I’ll call her Thot) was a good friend of mine who I had known since 3rd grade, and she was a senior at the time. I wanted us to be more than friends, but she didn’t so I got friend zoned.

One night, I was texting another friend on Snapchat (I’ll call her Karen) about my feelings for Thot, and she said something along the lines of “try something else, cause obviously your methods aren’t working.” I have a pretty twisted sense of humor, and at that time I trusted Karen, so I made a bad joke and said “there’s always rape.”

I’m not a rapist or anything like that; I would never throw away my friendship with Thot over something as stupid as sex. Unfortunately, Karen didn’t take that comment as a joke, and she reported me to our principal. Obviously this got back to Thot, and I was swiftly called to the office. I should mention that she was 18, and I was only 16 at the time.

It pretty much went as you could expect: I was told how sexual assault is not a joke, and statements like that are always taken seriously. I ended up getting suspended for two weeks when there was two weeks left in the year, with a recommendation for expulsion. I didn’t get expelled, cause this was the first time I had ever gotten in trouble with the school. I went back to school for two days that year, and I failed two exams because I missed all those classes.

While I was in the office that day, our school resource police officer told me and my mom that it was possible that I would be charged criminally for all of this. He was right, as soon after that I got a court summons in the mail. The charges were for menacing, which is roughly defined as “knowingly causing somebody to believe that I will harm them or people close to them.” She claimed that she was scared for her life, which I seriously doubt.

Not even my parents thought I deserved to be charged legally, so they helped me out and found an attorney, who they actually knew personally already. We took the case to said attorney, showed him screenshots of the original Snapchat conversation, and the first thing he said after he read them was “They’re charging you for THIS?” Even though the charges were bullshit, we wouldn’t be able to win without a lawyer, so we hired him to help.

The case never went to a trial, but it still took some time before the charges were dropped. The bill for the attorney was $500, which isn’t bad, but reasonably, my dad made me pay him back for it since it was my dumb ass that got myself into everything. For a high school student with no job, that’s a lot of money, in fact I’ve only paid back $150 of it to this day.

A few months later, during the next school year, I was sitting in class doing nothing with one of my friends (aka Johnny) I had his phone to show him something, and I decided, as a joke, to send a snap from his account to a few of his female friends that said “wanna fuck?” One of the recipients was none other than Thot, who I now hated and wanted to burn in Hell, I just thought it was funny.

When Thot received that snap, she sent Johnny a snap back that said “find somebody your own age dear” (Johnny is a sophomore). Before Johnny or I could respond, she sent another snap saying “Also if that was (my name here) tell I still want to castrate him and he can choke.” Now that is definitely a lot more threatening than what she charged me for saying earlier that year. Not to mention, she’s an adult and I’m a minor. Realizing that I could get revenge, I told Johnny to screenshot that snap and send it to me so I could take her to court.

I never ended up taking her to court for it, cause I wouldn’t gain anything, and it would probably cost me more money. However, I have made up my mind that if she ever gives me another reason to, I will take legal action in a heartbeat. So technically her pussy pass hasn’t been denied, but I’m desperately waiting for the opportunity.
