Context: Some men are going to jail after helping other people. ex: protecting women from drug addicts and other scenarios. So some men read about these stories and decide to not help someone in need out of fear of ripercussions. The guy is telling about his experience.

Honestly CosmicFlower played this totally wrong.

If you have the police apologizing on her behalf on record(like they should have) there is no way in hell she would have won any sort of trial or settlement. But honestly anything with random kids coming up to you "ask for help" its time to bust out that video camera in your cellphone and record everything to cover your ass.

You can be nice and help people just make sure you cover your ass, that is why camera phones are the greatest invention for people everywhere in this social climate. Argue with the video account of the situation bitch. Even if nothing happens and you don't need the video it gives you the confidence you really need to shut down some of these types of scams before it become an issue that will effect you.

As unfortunate as this guys story is, I’d still rather help out a kid in need rather than turn a blind eye. When we stop doing what’s right, that’s when we lose what it means to be human.
