What a fantastical world this person must live in, where they think Mad Men is a decent comparison to today’s work culture. I don’t remember women being the preferred candidates for jobs in Mad Men, or 60% of college grads, or the ones with immunity to abuse others.

Or just not employ women, then there won't be any attitude towards them in the workplace to worry about, 'backwards' or not. Some of these stupid things will backfire.

And today Women and Equalities minister Penny Mordaunt will pledge £600,000 to helping vulnerable women return to work after spending time as a carer.

How about spending £600,000 to help boys in primary school so that more than 40% of university students are male.

Such a massive amount of money wasted subsidizing women. Most of these high-powered women quit or switch to part time work by choice after crapping out a kid. £600,000 isn't going to do shit. They make a lot of money, but are already married to men who make more than them.

Even if they rig things and coddle women to the point of 95% female college students, 80% female graduate degrees, 70% women in STEM, they will still find some stupid reason to increase the subsidies. Not enough female prime ministers!

The only reason any of this works is female voters voting to spend male taxpayer dollars on themselves. And which politicians do they trust to do this for them? The male ones, of course. They know that the product of all this subsidy is incompetence, anyway.
