The children were twin 2-year-old toddlers and a 3 year old. The women were the children's mother and grandmother. Australian police say a "male" came to police with information, was known to the "5 deceased" and is now in custody and that there's "no ongoing threat to the community". And that's it!!

Under the circumstances what option would you stab a guess at?

Option 1: The male is the children's father and partner of the mother; kicked out of relationship with court intervention orders to stay away. The woman has fled to her mother's. He finds them and kills the lot in revenge.

Option2: The male is the stepfather and partner of the Grandmother, who's been kicked out of the relationship, so he returns for his "revenge"

Option3: The male is the brother of the mother and son of the Grandmother with a drug habit and mental illness.

Any other options??

Getting correct information out of police that a "male" involved in an incident is in fact the husband, partner, or father of those involved is like pulling teeth. That's because its obviously a "domestic"; and perhaps there are laws that are driving some 'domestic men' insane, which then falls back onto the politicians and police who create, then enforce those laws. Just stick with the image that its really some random, anonymous, monster male out there--and that we all need more "police protection". That's what they want you thinking.
