Depends.

High female proportion implies small, liberal arts. Potentially christian/secular school. If you're working within a small environment, shitting where you eat is a bad call and you should look outside of school for hookups.

If you've got a lot of tail to chase after, then just read more of the sidebar and be careful about not getting morning-after-regret-you're-going-to-FMITA-prison'd.

There's plenty of PUA lit out there that might suit your particular needs, but IMO you should spend the first semester or two focusing on developing your male social circle and getting /fit/. Womenfolk will come to you if you've got cred and a nice body. Don't try too hard.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but Freshman year you start at the bottom. Get out of your room as much as possible and get involved in organizations or hang out at the rec center. Try to book up your weekends in advance so you're not wandering around for parties like the freshmen packs do the first few weeks. It's an awkward year but everyone is in the same boat, just do your best to navigate the waters. Chances are your first year, everything doesn't matter much but you can begin to cultivate things so that in a year or two, you can have it all.

Talk to everyone. Join clubs or get involved and naturally you'll have more women around you.

Becareful with girls in class though. You don't want to be too quick to escalate especially if you're going to seeing them in future classes

The first month is the time to capitalize. Every girl thinks they're going to marry their high school sweetheart until they get to college and realize how many new people there are. Here's what I'd do. For the next few months, put on as much muscle as possible. Go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week, lift heavy, and eat as much as you possibly can. Better yet, learn to cook for yourself while you're at it, it isn't hard. When you get to college, find a group of people that plays a coed sport where you can take your shirt off. Ultimate frisbee is great for this. Start playing often, and you'll meet a ton of girls who are definitely not fat because they play ultimate.
