How important is mirroring a girls response time? I often find that they text late at night when I'm about to sleep so the option is either wait until morning or respond sooner. My gut says patience and message in the morning.

However I'm interested to know if there are exceptions to this rule and whether it's something you apply across the span of a relationship or only at the beginning?
