In the second season of the show Billions, the main character lies to his wife and she decides, without warning, to take both of their kids and skip town. He is in absolute despair and proceeds to call her 5 times a day, every day, begging her to come back. ALL his calls go straight to voice-mail. Finally, on the 3rd or 4th day he snaps and vicious threats spew forth from his mouth, essentially vowing to destroy her.

If it were me, I wouldn't have given her the satisfaction, my thoughts would have been "Oh great, some quiet time to myself."
