I’m not so worried about the legal process because I don’t engage in behavior that would take me anywhere close to that. I trust my few sexual partners and I know the struggles women face when trying to be believed sometimes. This woman took four months to come forward with her allegation.

I do fear this culture of public shaming that seems to be limited to men. Aziz just had his image destroyed over a kiss and tell and nobody seems to care about that. His career is derailed because a groupie decided to unearth the private. Whether you think his actions were disrespectful towards women or not, he did them on his time. The intimate details of his encounter have been excruciatingly discussed and rediscussed thanks to a piece of revenge porn and nobody is acknowledging the wickedness of publishing a person’s lowdown business like that.

I worry about that sort of thing quite a bit. People talk, but it seems like women overwhelmingly hold the power to ruin a man’s life in situations like this.

I also worry about this selfishly as a brown, feminist leaning man much like Ansari (but waaay less pushy in the bedroom, my god). If he presents an affirmative stereotype of the “creepy brown man” over some shit that should’ve stayed private and he was the only guy in Hollywood to represent me accurately, where does that leave me?

I empathize with women in exhausting situations with guys that are way too pushy, but don’t ruin the man’s life over it, goddamn.

The likes of Ansari needs to be destructed one way or other.

You will find this when you read his response to the scandal.

At least there should be more men like Liam Neison, who are ready to speak a bit rational. And there should be real men who are ready to expose feminist double-standards on sexploitation.

I think it is time for men to start accusing famous women in power, and reveal their sexual history like that. I think that will be a major turning point.
