Lexapro does not deaden everyone's emotions. That's an uncommon side-effect that's generally viewed as negative by those it is prescribed to.

For those not familiar with the drug, Lexapro (AKA Escitalopram) is an anti-depressant related to Celexa - both are Selective Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI's) meant to regulate the effects of depression and anxiety by making more of the neurotransmitter available in the gaps between synapses in the brain. It's fairly effective for people suffering from this disease. It's also used for other mental illnesses like dysthymia (persistent depression), anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and some forms of body dysmorphia.

One of the relatively common side-effects of SSRI's as a class of medication is sexual dysfunction. Emotional blunting can also occur, like with OP, but it's not something you can bet on.

As I said in the above post, please consult your doctor, but insist on 20 milligrams, because this is what FDA recommends as a minimum dose. Most doctors prescribe 10 milligrams, but it's too low. You want to go minimum 20.
