Brigadier to be cashiered, to undergo 3 years rigorous imprisonment for affair with colonel’s wife. While Colonel's wife is legally not guilty as per Indian laws hence still a free bird sponging of the husband whom she cheated.

He is under military discipline and subject to military law, she is not and frankly he is of higher rank then the husband, it does not mention if he was direct superior of the colonel or not. But if he is that would compound the offence.

Military are subject to military laws.
This is MR issue only if it wouldn't work vs female brigadier (which I doubt).
