Lastnight I had a first date that went so-so/bad. Invited girl to the beach to be followed with a quick dinner. At the last minute she asked if her friend and her "kinda boyfriend" could come. I was hesitant to go with them since I just imagined how difficult it would be to get things going with 2 strangers and I also don't have room in my car. So she offered to drive and I didn't have any backup plans after work I could make so I went. Her friends were nice and actually took a separate car so I looked dumb. We went to beach paired off and her and I walked and talked about nothing really. She had very little interesting I could pry from her but got some laughs and good kino inby pretending to throw her in the water. She didnt throw out many shit tests as far as I remember other than asking how much I made when my job came up(I pressure flipped and jokingly asked if she was a gold digger). Then we went to the dinner. I felt kind of out of the group and her IOIs were weak during dinner, think I noticed her being a little scooted away from me and bundled up because she said it was cold. After dinner she drove me home and I asked if she was going to get out of the car to say bye at least which she did and ended with a kinda weak hug. Again her hands in her sleeves and really tight presumably from being cold.

Any corrections from this would be greatly appreciated but a main flaw I feel was a lack of decent stories or ability on my part to be more of the center of attention. Is it perhaps I just can't think my life is interesting enough or I just don't share enough (I'm only 21 and basically up until TRP 3 months ago was the typical skinnyfat gaymer)?

Tl;dr advice on dominating or at least seeming interesting in conversation with groups your unfamiliar with?

Edit: of course just today there was a post I've yet to read on running out if things to say
