because he is in a way a very SJW friendly person. He hates feminism (but thinks the MRA is just as bad), he deeply mistrusts men (muh one good man fallacy) and he generally thinks he is the smartest, kindest and most badass man around.

Basically he thinks that him wanting to be a decent human is odd for men, most men want to kill/rape/steal shit that the "good men" have.

Recent events regarding male feminists lead me to guess his man - hate is caused by projection. (he thinks other men are like him)

im an atheist, i was part of the movement in its golden days, back when Christopher Hitchens was still alive, back when it was about logic. The movement grew to big, became too mainstream, it turned into a target for other groups as a potential platform and unfortunately few years ago the movement has been taken over by social justice warriors and feminists who injected it with their agenda. Now its no longer about religion and atheism and having a civil discussion, now its Atheism+ where you also get policed if your beliefs are correct, you no longer can discuss your beliefs, you have to have certain beliefs and be militant against different beliefs or else you get thrown under the bus. Being atheist is fine, but the current community of atheists has little to do with atheism and alot to do with sjw shit.
