Wow, such trashy writing.

...it feeds a rape-culture narrative—that false claims of sexual assault are a problem from which men need to be protected, which isn’t true. Studies peg false allegations between two and 10 per cent; others report it at two to eight per cent.

So even if the rate of false allegations is 6% men should not get legal protection according to this author.

This attitude is supported by one of the papers linked to this article:

Having demonstrated that the percentage of false sexual assault reports is not as high as many people think, this does not deny their terrible reality. We all know that false reports do really exist, and they are incredibly damaging both to criminal justice personnel and to the countless victims of sexual assault whose credibility they undermine.

...but not the one who was falsely accused! Unbelievable.
